Alma's Hybrid technology is unique, thanks to its capability of customizing countless variables, including the depth of the energy's penetration. Sometimes called a laser peel, laser skin resurfacing is an ideal procedure for patients desiring clearer, softer, younger-looking skin. Depending on the needs of the patient's skin, the laser will be customized for best results. There is some recovery time associated with most laser skin resurfacing procedures. How Does Laser Skin Resurfacing Work?
When you have a deeper or more intense laser resurfacing session, you may be asked to use a topical retinoid for a few weeks before your laser appointment. This helps prep the skin for better results. Medication may be suggested prior to the procedure to help minimize discomfort so you can relax throughout your appointment. If your skin only needs mild improvement, topical anesthesia may be used to numb treated areas where the laser will target. Treatments typically take up to 45 minutes and only need to be given 1 – 2 times to acquire the best results.
